Love this idea! Years ago, I saw an old jewelry business that was going out of business; they had a chrome lettered logo that was my last name (an uncommon spelling); I called to try to buy it (what use would they have now?) but unfortunately got no response. Hm. I sense a business opportunity....

Have been collecting chrome trim letters from autos/trucks/appliances/ etc, and tags from old electric tools/travel trailers/etc. for many years. a couple of good books about auto trim are:
U.S. HOOD ORNAMENTS AND MORE...by Lynn Huntsburger
and
BRIGHTWORK ...by Ken Steacy
