The Evolving Living Room of T A Stevick

IMG_2624a

MC,M Group member T A Stevick has a drool-worthy house and shares it generously with us as he rotates his stock of classic furniture.

Here is the latest setup: January 13, 2008 – featuring a Goetz sofa, Bonaldo Spoon chaises, a Frankl table, Bertoia Diamond chair, Eames DCW, and a lamp from Hopf & Wortmann. Those among you with great taste but small budgets, start your envy engines, the parade of great lounge furniture in its natural habitat continues below. Stevick’s room is a veritable museum of important design, but maybe it’s the floor-to-ceiling windows that we love most.

June 10, 2007 – after he got his Goetz, about which the owner has this to say:

a friend's brother said something about “...sitting down and your ass goes ‘ahhh’...” That’s kind of what this is like. We had a chrome Howell sofa for years as the living room sofa. It looks cool, but it never was really comfortable. The Goetz looks cool and I can stretch out full length and recline. It really does change how we use this room.
Also featuring an Aarnio Ball Chair.

On the second picture up, starting behind the Q and going clockwise;
Unmarked snoeshoe rocker, 'Chair One' by Gould, Bertoia, DCW, Cherner, DCW, 'Orbit Chair' made by Sintesi (new design).

Nice place! So, where does the furniture go when it's rotated out?

The chair you are missing is the T. Vac chair designed by Ron Arad and manufactured by Vitra.

Thank you, Larry! I've added a link to your comment.

The orange chair in the pic above is I believe a knock-off of the Pierre Paulin 'Mushroom Chair'. I have the EXACT SAME knock-off (but in white). I have never seen another like it anywhere. Very cool!

Anyone have more info on the Chair One? I have one IDENTICAL to the photo above, same color fade and all...would love to know more about it!
Thanks!
